// A DIFFERENT KIND OF STATUS PLATFORM

Most monitors tell you a server pinged back.
We tell you whether the internet still works.

DownRightNow is an independent outage intelligence platform. We watch every major cloud, every dependency you rely on, and every corner of the internet that's talking about you right now — and turn it into one honest verdict you can actually act on.

Signal fusion

Five signals, one verdict — instead of one signal, no context.

Single-signal sites get fooled constantly. A viral tweet doesn't mean an outage. A green status page doesn't mean everything is fine. We continuously fuse user reports, synthetic probes, official feeds, regional cloud telemetry, and live news. Each signal can confirm, contradict, or qualify the others — and we show you that disagreement instead of hiding it.

  • User report bursts cross-checked against real probes
  • Official 'all systems operational' challenged by telemetry
  • Region-scoped cloud signals separated from global verdicts
  • Contradicting evidence shown, not buried

Region-aware

AWS me-south-1 going down is not 'AWS is down.'

Cloud outages are almost never global, but most outage sites still treat them that way. We monitor AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloudflare, and OpenAI per-region across 27 real cities — Tokyo, São Paulo, Frankfurt, Mumbai, Cape Town. If your app is slow in Singapore but fine in Virginia, you'll know in 60 seconds. Most tools won't even notice.

  • Per-region health for AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloudflare
  • Affected-only region lists, not scary global banners
  • Healthy-region count shown alongside failures
  • Regional news context attached when available

Evidence-first

Every verdict shows its work.

We don't just say 'down' or 'up.' We tell you exactly which probes passed, which failed, what the official status feed claims, what users are reporting, and what the news is saying — with timestamps. If we're not sure, we say so. Confidence is a feature, not marketing copy.

  • Supporting and contradicting signals labelled
  • Probe latency and DNS results shown raw
  • Official incident text linked, not paraphrased
  • 'Not yet measured' beats fake confidence

Faster context

We see incidents before official status pages admit them.

Provider status pages lag — sometimes by 30+ minutes, sometimes by days. We catch the gap by watching the things providers can't easily hide: failing probes, regional network anomalies, sudden user report spikes, and news coverage. You get an early read while the official page still says green.

  • Synthetic probes run continuously, not on page load
  • Anomaly detection on user-report velocity
  • News and social context attached to every incident
  • AI summary refreshed the moment status changes

Independent

Not a vendor. Not a reseller. Not paid to look the other way.

DownRightNow has no contractual relationship with the providers we monitor. We're not incentivised to soften a verdict, delay a banner, or quietly drop an incident. That independence is the entire point — it's the only reason an honest verdict is even possible.

  • No provider sponsorships or affiliate deals
  • No 'preferred partner' status badges
  • Manual override only ever increases transparency
  • Methodology and signals open to scrutiny

Why operators pick us

Nine reasons we're the last uptime tool you'll ever buy.

Every other monitor counts pings. We count signal — across 27 regions, every dependency you rely on, and every channel where your outage is already trending.

27 real regions. Not 3 datacenters with a logo.

Every check fires from a real probe in a real city — Tokyo, São Paulo, Frankfurt, Mumbai, Cape Town. If your app is slow in Singapore but fine in Virginia, you'll know in 60 seconds. Most tools won't even notice.

AI that actually correlates outages.

When AWS us-east-1 sneezes, half the internet catches a cold. Our AI cross-references your monitors against cloud incidents, BGP withdrawals, DNS divergence, Hacker News, and social signals to tell you why something broke — not just that it did.

We watch what your status page won't.

Vendors lie. Status pages stay green for hours after their service is on fire. We poll official feeds, scrape incident chatter, and run independent synthetic checks so you find out before your customers tweet at you.

Cloud dependency insights, built in.

Click any monitor and see the AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloudflare, and OpenAI regions it depends on — live. When a dependency degrades, you see the blast radius before incidents propagate to your users.

Status pages that don't look like 2014.

Beautifully designed, fully themable, and powered by the same data your team uses internally. No more posting fake green ticks while production burns.

30-second checks. 60-second alerts. No drama.

Sub-minute checks on Business, multi-channel alerts on every plan, and quiet hours so PagerDuty doesn't ruin your weekend. We send signal, not noise.

Private monitors for the things you can't expose.

Internal APIs, staging environments, customer-specific endpoints — all monitored privately, never indexed, never shared. Your infrastructure stays yours.

We're builders, not a billing company.

No 12-month contracts. No 'contact sales' for basic features. No surprise overages. Cancel anytime, keep your data, and pay only for what you actually use.

If we can't see it, nobody can.

We monitor the monitors. We correlate the correlators. We're the receipts when something goes wrong — and the proof when somebody else's status page is wrong.

Side by side

What you get here that you do not get elsewhere

Every other outage tool is built around one signal. We are built around the disagreement between signals — that's where real incidents hide.

Methodology

How a verdict actually gets made

  1. 01

    Collect raw signals continuously

Synthetic HTTP and DNS probes run on a schedule — never on page load. User reports stream in with category tags. Official status pages and component feeds are polled. Regional cloud endpoints are checked per region. News is ingested and matched to services.

  2. 02

    Normalize and dedupe

Every signal is keyed by stable identifiers so we never double-count the same incident from two sources. Reports from the same device cluster collapse. Vendor incidents are matched to their components. Nothing inflates the score artificially.

  3. 03

    Score with centralized logic

A single scoring engine — not scattered UI rules — converts signals into Operational, Possible Issues, Major Outage, or Recovering. One weak signal can't trigger a Major Outage. Cloudflare Radar alone never marks a specific service down. Manual override always wins.

  4. 04

    Attach context, then summarize

Once a status is set, related news, official incident text, and regional context are attached. Only then does AI generate a short, evidence-grounded summary — and only when status changes, so the summary you read is fresh, not regenerated on every visit.

  5. 05

Publish with a full evidence trail

The public page shows the verdict, the supporting signals, the contradicting signals, the official source, and the news. You can reconstruct exactly why we said what we said — no black box.

  6. 06

    Re-score on every new signal

Statuses are not static snapshots. As probes recover, reports calm down, or providers post incident updates, verdicts move automatically. Recovering states are first-class so you know the worst is over.
